Texting Your Way To Love (Current.com)

I just saw this on Current TV and thought it was hilarious (plus, the boy phone’s name is Champ). Oh how times have changed.

I discovered Current TV while I was in a hotel in Chicago. When I returned home, I definitely was surprised that Comcast actually had it available (on mine it’s channel 107). The stories range from very serious to the ones like you saw above. Some of the things I found most interesting lately were the story following Pete Cashmore from Mashable as he went from web 2.0 company to company and the story of two guys 5 years removed from college visiting all the Big Ten schools. Although I was slightly disappointed about their stay at the University of Illinois since they spent most of their time with the Daily Illini, I did catch a 2 second glimpse of them at Kam’s :) I thought it was funny when he refered to Purdue as “Pur-dudes”. Surprising, that was the first time I ever heard that.

Zazzle.com

At first, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with this domain, but I’m slowly realizing it’s becoming a place for me to showcase some of the technology products and websites I have given my personal “Champtastic Stamp of Approval”. Zazzle.com is a site I found around this time last year after my friend, Liz, and I got into a custom t-shirt exchange. I made one for her that said, “I have friends in technology” and she gave me one that said, “I only have time for people who are useful”. If you’re still using Cafe Press, you’re definitely missing out. Zazzle not only has no minimum quantity but they let you choose from a variety of shirt colors and styles. You can create your design directly from their easy interface on the site or you can upload one.

One of my employees is quite the artist and created a few shirts of a few of our co-workers. You can see Curtis’ designs here. The one pictured on the left is of Matt.

Videora iPod Converter

It’s funny how many programs I use and I don’t think twice that people have no idea what these things are. Anyways, if you are looking to put videos on your ipod or iphone, the Videora iPod Converter is what you are looking for. Yes, it is freeware and can convert all types of video files (avi, divx, xvid, flv, x264, vob, mpeg, DVD’s, YouTube, etc.) to play on your device. For a full movie, it usually amounts to about 600-700 MB.
I’ve been using this for a couple years now and it’s been very handy.
